I completed an art foundation course following redundancy and started painting in 2010.
Largely self taught my style is influenced by study of the 20th century modernists.
My work has been described as confident and strong with a compelling use of structure and colour.
In my work I aim to produce work which will promote emotional stability using images that incorporate light and dark, quiet and noisy, structure and freedom, and fun and sensitivity.
Ultimately I hope that my work will always have a “feel-good factor”.
